MEET RANA

Rana Attalla, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Hi there, I’m Rana.

Before becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I built my career serving students and families in the school system. I began as a teacher working with students in grades K-2 and later became a school guidance counselor. I then completed my clinical education and continued my journey toward becoming a licensed therapist. These experiences shaped the compassionate, practical, and person-centered approach I bring to my work with children, teens, adults, families, and couples.

Born in Egypt and fluent in both Arabic and English, I bring a deeply personal understanding of culture, identity, family, and the experience of navigating more than one world. My bicultural perspective allows me to connect with people from many different backgrounds while creating a warm and respectful space where each person can feel genuinely seen and understood.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where my clients can feel comfortable being their authentic selves. I understand how culture, immigration, acculturation, family expectations, relationships, life transitions, and bicultural identity can influence emotional well-being and a person’s sense of self.

I have experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, adjustment and relationship concerns, PTSD, OCD, grief, and other emotional and behavioral challenges. I use evidence-based approaches while recognizing that therapy should never feel one-size-fits-all. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to each person’s individual story, strengths, needs, and goals.
